Norman C. Bradfield, 85, of Forest Hill, Maryland passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones on April 2, 2015.

He was born in Baltimore on October 20, 1929 to the late Clarence Otto Bradfield and Mildred Hughes Bradfield.

Mr. Bradfield grew up in the Gardenville/Hamilton areas of Baltimore and as a young man he helped his father at the family automobile garage at Bradfield Brothers and Schwartz, Co. He was a 1948 graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic. Mr. Bradfield initially served in the U.S. Air Force active duty...

Norman C. Bradfield, 85, of Forest Hill, Maryland passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones on April 2, 2015.

He was born in Baltimore on October 20, 1929 to the late Clarence Otto Bradfield and Mildred Hughes Bradfield.

Mr. Bradfield grew up in the Gardenville/Hamilton areas of Baltimore and as a young man he helped his father at the family automobile garage at Bradfield Brothers and Schwartz, Co. He was a 1948 graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic. Mr. Bradfield initially served in the U.S. Air Force active duty and reserves and subsequently was employed by Martin Company/Marietta. He retired in 1999 after 28 years of service from the Edgewood Chemical and Biological Center as a Security Specialist.

In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars, doing yard work, being with extended family, and taking day trips. He loved to travel and had the chance to spend time in Iceland and areas across the United States visiting his daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughters.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Jane S. Bradfield, and daughters Denise Carnaggio, and her husband, James; and Carol Kahlert, and her husband George, and 4 grandchildren, Brittany Feryus and husband, John; Cortney Flock, and husband Robert, Casey Kahlert and Bryan Carnaggio. He was lovingly known as Gee-Pop to his grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Gertrude Bruno, and many nieces and nephews.



Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., 610 West MacPhail Road (at Rte 24) on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 am with interment to follow at the Parkwood Cemetery.
